It’s been a long haul and tough for all of us, but we’re delighted to confirm the Greyhound will be open again for business on July 4.

Americans may claim July 4 is Independence Day, but in Ipswich, it will forever be known as the day we got our pub back.

We’re open for takeaway food and beer

We know how much you have missed your favourite Adnams beers and our delicious food, so we’ve opened up especially for you.

Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, from 2pm until 5pm, you can collect takeaway beer AND pick up our take out/DIY food kits.

The new 5% ABV English cider, made with apples from the foot of the Malvern Hills, is Adnams’ first entry into the cider market.

Pub caretaker promoted at last for his 80th birthday

An 80-year-old Ipswich caretaker has finally been promoted after a rival business tried to poach him.

Hard-working Reginald ‘Ken’ Lightfoot was promoted to a new position of Executive Senior Manager of Sanitation and Waste Disposal Services at The Greyhound pub.

Mr Lightfoot celebrates his 80th birthday this week and told pals his step up was “the best present ever”.
