New rules, same great service at The Greyhound

New rules, same great service at The Greyhound

It’s hard to believe nearly three months have passed since we re-opened after lockdown. We can’t thank you enough for how you have helped us make The Greyhound a safe and enjoyable venue under the social distancing rules; your feedback to the staff has been lovely.

As you have likely seen, coronavirus cases nationally are rising again and the Government has imposed new regulations that will further impact the way we operate.

All of us at the pub want to make this as easy for you as possible, and we know you will take on the changes with your usual good humour and respect. Here’s what is new:

– We close at 10pm
– You must wear a mask while walking around the pub (not at your table)
– Table service only for food AND drinks
– Our staff will wear masks at all times

Previous processes remain in place, such as signing in for track and trace when you arrive or using the NHS COVID 19 app, no more than groups of six, and following the “traffic flow” system in and out of the premises.

The biggest changes for you, therefore, are the 10pm closing time, table service only, and that you MUST bring a mask to the pub and wear it at all times you are not sitting at your table.

We will ring last orders at 9.30pm, call time at 9.40pm and shut up at 10pm sharp. You can order takeaway beers when you leave, however!

Once again, apologies for imposing more “rules” on you. It’s obviously out of our hands but up to now, you have made it easy for us.

Thank you and see you soon!
